Clapham Leisure Centre, London, May 31, 2017 - Final day of the Mixed League
Giants topped up their sets against Vedo team to claim their title in the Mixed League at Clapham Leisure Centre on Wednesday evening.
Giants’ consistent performance is certainly worthy of a gold medal and the winner cup, as the team completed the League with an unbeaten record.
Silver medal and runner-up cup went to another solid team captained by Egon Vedris. Fantastic12 has led a steady performance throughout the competition , before the team has lost 3 sets against Giants on Week 7 which has positioned them at the 2nd place on the League table from leading the table.
Bronze medal and 3rd place cup went to Fire Team captained by Oakki Jones. Although the team has maintained their place at the top range of the League table during the early stages of the competition, they lost 4 sets against Fantastic 12 on Week 6. This has sealed Fantastic 12 team three-point run and placed Fire Team down to 3rd place on the League table.
Meanwhile, Vedo Team has finished the competition at 4th place with only 2 points less than the bronze medallists, with a possibility of playing a Golden Set against Fantastic 12 if they were to win a set against Giants. Makinas has concluded their campaign with 5 points and 5th on the table and Super 7 with 3 point , 6th place on the table.
The last game of the competition was followed by trophies and awards, accompanied by Little Giants Volleyball’s sponsor Cake Box’s giant cake provision for the participants of the competition.
